We are looking to do a cabinet refacing and add new vinyl floors and granite countertops. I like a bordeaux or burgundy cherry for the cabinets, but can't decide on the floor and countertop coloring. We have stainless steel appliances with black range top, dishwasher panel, and refrigerator side. I would think a black counter with some silver would look good. Ideas???

I think adding black granite countertops could look pretty sophisticated but also could make your kitchen seem a bit dark, especially if you go with the dark cabinetry. In browsing some of the photos on this site, I came across this room shot that shows burgundy cabinets with a light granite countertop...I think it's a nice balance/contrast between the dark cabinetry and the lighter counter surface.

Hope this helps, I think it sometimes works best to look at photos to get an idea of how different colored materials will work with eachother.

Good luck

I think I'm with Daniel. I feel like I've seen a lot of cherry cabinets with black counters and it gets boring. A granite with a little more of a texture or a pattern would be more interesting.
