I just viewed the video of lastest trends on this website and it seems like the new trends are more on the Contemporary side. My dream kitchen has always been more traditional with white cabinets, darker countertops and wood or warm toned flooring. Is this look out? I know you should go with what your heart desires but I also would like to sell the home later down the road and I don't want the kitchen to be outdated.

I would have to believe the traditional look that you described is going to be a fairly safe choice.

Still, if you are concerned about what kitchen styles will help sell your home in the future, you should consider what style kitchens are popular where you live. While the warm, contemporary look has become more popular, it might not be a look that people in your city are interested in. If you are working with a designer, ask them what styles are popular with people in your area.
