i want to redo my kitchen. i don't have the money to renovate so i am thinking more like a paint updo. i have a small kitchen that connects with the living room. do the colors need to coordinate with the living room? i have dark colors (black trimming with suede ralph lauren goldish brownish walls). i love the look of warm colors and dark wood but i am afraid that it will make the kitchen look small. any suggestions

hi i have just seen your post.. I think your walls sound great, as fo the keeping the same colours.. i think that if u pu too much of the bold colours in two close rooms it might look too much.. I am in the bsmae situation as u at the moment.. have u thought about a flat-pak kitchen, cheap, but new, and diy.. just take measurements, cause in the end, your going to want new kitchen and appliances, the paint wont really matter

Hi Marie, I have the same problem. My living room is 'goldish', my kitchen which connects is a light cream. Just purchased a very dark wood table & chairs for the kitchen (expresso? dark brown, so dark it is almost black). Looks good with the cream, and sort of 'grounds it'. What if you take the paint chip from your living room and go to the lightest shade on the chip?
