We have a dark maple hardwood floor - the kitchen has a fair amount of light and we're considering having the original oak cabinets painted. We've seen some examples of this being done and are impressed.
The trouble is the examples we've seen don't include a dark floor. We don't want white but a too dark color will make the kitchen look like it's floating.
Any ideas or resources I can use to find a suitable color? I think if I see some pictures it will help me make my mind up.
