I've read about zones in the kitchens, and there has been some articles in this E-zine, but it all is vague and not really to the point.
I have found this one from a manufacturer that you point to for really neat products (like that amazing corner cabinet!) and that is Blum Inc.
They have this Dynamic Space concept that is amazing with it's content and its direction for the consumer like me!
