We are considering redoing a kitchen in our soon to be new home - we could expand the kitchen a bit, but we would have to put seating around an island or peninsula instead of having room for a kit table. Will this hurt resale? We don't ever plan to move, but you never know...

i have been thinking about putting an island in also for storage and extra counter space. we need to update our kitchen badly. been searching for ideas as well. thought the island with stools was a good one as well. don't know about the resale. bit i thought it would be better than what is here now? no? kitchens do need to be updated before sales that i have seen....what do you think?

we did it. Had a very small kitchen 16 x 13 - and we did the whole kitchen. have an island with seating and no table. We love it. Best thing we did. And the kitchen looks bigger. Much better functioning. Was too tight before....
