I have a very high 30 feet white walls in my kitchen and I don't really want to paint all the way up to the ceiling. Are there any other ways of adding colour the room. Would stoping painting at 10 feet look ridiculous?

I wouldn't simply stop painting at the 10 foot mark without a transition. How about placing a beautiful, grand set of mouldings at the 10 foot mark and above this hang some sumptious tapestries or artwork or a quilt, depending on you decorating style.

What a great space you have to use! There's many options, don't be afraid of trying something different!
