I need help deciding what color my new stove and fridge should be. I have a pretty new white dishwasher. I think I should have gotten stainless because that's the latest style and also for its resale value. How would a stainless stove and fridge look with the white dishwasher? If I go with white, the LG stove I want has a white smooth cook top. I'm afraid all that white will make it look like a washing machine and will show stains and scratches more than the black top that's on the stainless. Will white appliances make my kitchen look cheap? I live in a small cape cod. Should I buy the stainless and live with the white dishwasher until I eventually change it. However I've held on to my appliances till they die. Last kitchen update was 26 yrs. ago. I would really appreciate advice on what to do. I'd like to buy the stove before Thanksgiving.

My wife and I are struggling with the exact same issue. We recently bought white kitchenaid dishwasher and refrigerator and now are replacing an oven and microwave with a double oven. We are also replacing a 30" cooktop and replacing the ventahood with a microhood. I think we can do the double oven in stainless and keep everthing else in white. We aren't agreeing on this, which is why I came to this website in the first place. So, I hope we get more postings because I think it's fine to mix and match, but the wife doesn't. Help!
