I do not havepersonal experience but am looking at the same option for our kitchen. My research found a couple of useful sites - here is on with an intro to induction cooktops www.induction-cooktop.com. There was a second larger site - I forget its name - but I found it from the links page on that first site.
Hope this helps |

macic, thanks for info. I hadn't seen this site and found it interesting. It's pretty much what I've been reading about. I have a induction orderd...hope it's everything I have read it is! Will post how I like it after I use it (a few months from now).

Just be prepared to adjust your cooking time/style, as it heats much more quickly than a typical cooktop.
And of course, make sure that you have cookware that will conduct magnetic energy. |

If anyone is considering an induction cooktop I would highly recommend it. Our kitchen remodel is finaly done and we are now enjoying cooking on it. It is everything we were hoping it would be and more. It was much easier to get used to than I thought it would be. We love it!!
