Hi - I'm looking at the above oven for my new home. I love the look and the features but I'm not familiar with the brand - anyone have any comments on this or any other Gaggenau oven?

Thanks, Lynn

It's European, right? I've heard Gaggenau mentioned in the same breath as a Bosch or Kuppersbusch or Miele.

Hello Lynn,

Gaggenau is owned by BSH Home Appliance. BSH also owns Thermador Appliance and Bosch Appliance.

The EB290 is an amazing oven offering many cooking features ( cooking modes ).

Please consider contacting your local Retail Dealer or the local Wholesale Distributor in your area since they should offer cooking classes on the Gaggenau product line.

In California the Wholesale Distributor for Gaggenau is the Purcell Murray Company. www.purcellmurray.com
They offer cooking suggestions, receipes, etc., on their web site.

You may also contact Gaggenau directly to speak to a Customer Service Representative. BSH [ Gaggenau ] is located in Southern California, USA.

Hope this helps,

Dave

Hello, I have Gaggenau appliances in my kitchen, I purchased them because of their fantastic reputation - although a little on the expensive side, if they last for years and look good it is well worth it. However..........I have had great problems with my Oven, basically after less that a year of service the circuit board has broken along with a few other parts, but because I purchased it a couple of months before it was installed in my new kitchen it is out of warranty.(only by a few months) I have contacted BHS appliance care on the 11th October 2006 to ask them if they felt that this was fair on me, and if they could help, as it is going to cost hundreds of pounds to mend. I have still had no response at all, only the computer generated reply saying that they will contact me soon. I will keep you informed as to how I get on, I recommend that you take out additional insurance, I am very happy with my other gaggenau products - especially the steam oven - it is fantastic.

Hi Lynn,

I own a Gaggenau Oven and I’m really happy with it. I never had any problems and I highly recommend it.
Responding to Helen, I am sure that if you look into their web site there will be an area dedicated to customer assistance. I actually checked it out for you at www.gaggenau.com and I will suggest you to call their CS number: Toll Free: 1.800.828.9165
or send a fax: 714.901.5360. I am sure they will have an answer for you. I called before to have some information on my oven and they replied right away. Let me know!
