Hi~
I have all black appliances and white cabinets. I want to get a new countertop, sink and do something on a budget with my cabinets.
The floors are parkay(sp?), the walls are a celery green and white stripe - black and green are the colors in this theme.
Any recommendations as to what type of counter top, sink, and cabinet ideas are appreciated!
I'm at a loss! By the way, I live in a traditional colonial in VA.
Thanks!

How dark are the floors? I saw a picture of a really cute kitchen with black and black/stainless appliances, light sort of natural maple cabinets and light wood floors, celery walls, stainless sink, black granite coutners and a cool multi-colored tile backsplash. Wish I could remember where I saw it. It was kind of traditional, but a little funky, too.

Hi, LeeDe
What your kitchen is calling for is a an accent color. All the neutual colors you mentioned, white, celery and black could be complimented nicely with a shade of red or gold. Personally, I could see a brick red countertop, change the knobs to a something really fun, perhaps a colored glass knob, and then have fun with a backsplash of tiles or add accessories using your colors.

If your cabinets are in good condition, leave them alone. Spend your money on all the details to pull what you have together. If your cabinets are already painted, well, you need to decide what type of look you want and then you could glaze the cabinets, repaint, put some glass or grillwork in the doors...the world's your oyster!
Good luck!
Gigi
