When people think of a tall pantry door they automatically assume it will swing to the right or the left. I fell in love with a hardware called the "Pegaso" and it started me on this quest to bring this company's products here to the U.S. at affordable prices. The Pegaso moves in a hroizontal/pantograph motion to fully clear the interior of the cabinet while minimizing clearances. It works great for tall to short doors in spaces where clearances are an issue. It also works in a corner application where you can have a tall cabinet with two doors that allow full access to the dreaded "dead space". But don't take my word for it, take a look at the company and it's products Effegi Brevetti of Italy . Also check out the bi-fold for uppers that eliminates the need for center hinges and allows different panel heights on the "EVO" & "SPIN". Thanks!
