We are building a home and the price is $689,000. The builder wants to use Timberlake Porfolio cabinets in the home. These appear to be very entry level. For the price that I am paying, what kind of cabinets should I expect? How much should the builder be budgeting for the cabinets?
Timberlake offers a Portfolio Select line that's a step up--solid hardwood instead of veneers--but it's all still stock cabinetry. On the other hand, it depends on where you live. In some places, $689K is practically entry-level housing. But I'd push for the solid wood.
