Is it a good idea to stripe vertically, intentionally, while designing a kitchen? Ive been getting conflicting information and as a professional kitchen designer, I stripe only when it makes aesthetic sense to do so. Otherwise I try to not to, as to not make the place look like a sanatarium, and artistically tie loose ends with more subtle design features....

...Should I Stripe on purpose? plz help...all the other designers i work w say yes...i say no, am i wrong?

As a designer also, vertically striping can change the mood of a room and can make one feel uptight. Horizontal striping tends to have a calming effect. I would keep vertical striping very subdued and muted and that should help keep away from the sanatarium effect also.
