We purchased a slab of Santa Sylvia granite for a kitchen remodel later this summer. I see lots of Santa Cecilia granite on line but no Sylvia; the Sylvia is similar only more beige in color. Was wondering if anyone has heard of it? I walked into Lowes with a sample of it in my hand and one of the clerks saw it and immediately said, Oh, Santa Sylvia granite, it's beautiful. I was surprised that she'd know a granite name as it's not something I've ever known about until we started remodel plans.

The more common spelling is santa silvia, which must be Italian or Spanish--you'll find a fair number of online samples.
