I'm remodeling 4 small kitchens in a four-plex which currently all have dinette sets and very little counter space. I can add more counters but then there won't be enough room for a kitchen table at which to eat. Is anyone familiar with a 'hideaway' kitchen table product? Something that could compactly, quickly, and easily be stowed/deployed within/from a cabinet? I was hoping for some kind of accordion-pleated thing but I'll entertain all options.

one easy solution is to create a "buffet" table. Place it just outside of the kitchen, on a wall shared by the kitchen, and you suddenly have extra room for displaying food, working on food preperation etc
